Spencer LaJoye

Spencer LaJoye won the Kerrville New Folk contest in 2021 and the Songwriter Serenade contest in 2024, and has shared stages with Dar Williams, Mary Gauthier, and David Wilcox. A solo performer who builds arrangements live through loop pedal, LaJoye makes queer indie folk built around multi-part harmony and a background in theatre. The song "Plowshare Prayer" was written for a Juniper Formation prayer gathering and later released as a studio recording.
