Futuretime String Band

From Grand Rapids

Keala Venema (fiddle, guitar, vocals) and Lino Venema (guitar, flute, vocals, shamisen) make up Futuretime String Band, a Grand Rapids duo that applies a forward-looking lens to bluegrass, old-time, and Irish traditions. The duo has competed at the All-Ireland Fleadh and won awards at the Midwest Fleadh.

From Lansing

Super Secret Cult Band is a Lansing trio performing Lovecraftian doo-wop and goth-folk built on three-part vocal harmonies and acoustic guitar around a single microphone, with songs about the apocalypse, conspiracy theories, and the occult. Dylan Rogers, Abigail Hoffman, and Michael McConeghy perform in black robes.
