Year 200X

Year 200X is a heavy metal video game cover band from Lansing, MI, specializing in arrangements of classic game soundtracks — Mega Man X, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Cross — rendered in full metal instrumentation with occasional orchestral flourishes including strings, flute, and choir. Their 2014 EP "World of Ruin" was mastered by Grant "Stemage" Henry, a respected name in the video game metal world, and received enough notice to land a feature from Capcom USA. Worth noting for this show: Year 200X as a full band is not on the bill — the Facebook post for this date explicitly says "Year 200X isn't playing a show... but some of the guys in the band are," performing as members of Slaughter of the Soul.
