from Lansing
The Wild Honey Collective is a Lansing-based group that blends traditional folk with psychedelic country rock. Formed during the COVID pandemic as an acoustic spinoff from psych-rock band Drinking Mercury, the collective features harmony-laden vocals, pedal steel guitar, and fiddle arrangements. The band was voted #1 folk artist in City Pulse's "Top Of The Town 2023" and has become a fixture on Michigan's roots music circuit while touring the Midwest and East Coast. Their sound draws from The Byrds and Grateful Dead while incorporating traditional string band instrumentation.
