Laurel Premo

Traverse City multi-instrumentalist Laurel Premo plays fingerstyle electric guitar, lap steel, fiddle, and voice across American and Nordic roots traditions. She is known internationally from her duo Red Tail Ring, and has been touring and recording since 2009. Her 2021 solo album Golden Loam draws on old-time and blues lineages alongside darker Nordic sounds. MTV described her live performance as "subtle but dazzling and rich in texture."
