Don Was and the Pan-Detroit Ensemble

Don Was, the Detroit-born bassist and producer who has served as president of Blue Note Records, leads the Pan-Detroit Ensemble, a jazz group drawing on top-tier musicians from his hometown. The ensemble released its debut full-length, Groove in the Face of Adversity, and has performed at the Outlaw Music Festival.
